报告内容及报告人背景资料:
The design of a motor for an automotive drive often does not follow standard motor design procedures. They require duty cycling to maintain thermal integrity and they often operate over a limited maximum torque range with an extended maximum power range. This presentation will review the requirements for a drive motor for a hybrid vehicle and highlight the key issues. It will then illustrate several alternative options to the interior permanent magnet motor that is commonly used in this application. It will review the use of various design methods and design packages. The presentation also looks at the used of efficiency maps and the use of standard cycles to map the performance of machines. A key point for many of these evolving drive motor types is the reduction in rare-earth magnet material which is expensive and subject to political interference in its supply chain.




报告人简历:
Dr Dorrell is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He has served on IET Council and is currently the Chair of the IET NSW committee. He is also a Senior Member of the IEEE and acts as a Reviewer and Editor for various Transactions and Conferences. He is on the AdCom for the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.
Dr Dorrell is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He is currently serving on IET Council. He is also a Senior Member of the IEEE and acts as a Reviewer and Organizer for various Transactions and Conferences.
