Faulty Position Openings at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Pakistan-China University of Engineering, Science and Technology

    Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) is leading the Consortium of Chinese Universities (CCU) to help the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan establish the Pakistan-China University of Engineering, Science and Technology (PCU) in Islamabad, Pakistan. BUPT has multiple position openings for faculty members to work at PCU for one or more academic years, starting from September, 2008. Successful faculty members will be recruited as regular staff members of BUPT and entitled to all benefits for BUPT employees.
    Qualified faculty members will be recruited at the rank of full professor, associated professor, or assistant professor at PCU based on their qualifications. Salaries for faculty members working at PCU will be very competitive internationally based on qualifications.
    PCU in the academic year of 2008-2009 will offer the following four MSc. programs in the Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT): Wireless and Mobile Communications, Digital Contents Technology, Network Engineering, and Software Engineering. The following twelve faculty positions are available for the four programs:
    • One sub-program director in Wireless and Mobile Communications,
    • One sub-program director in Digital Contents Technology,
    • One sub-program director in Network Engineering,
    • One sub-program director in Software Engineering, and
    • Eight faculty members in ICT, Mathematics and/or Chinese Language.
   
    Qualifications
    Qualifications for the Sub-Program Directors:
    • Doctor degree in related areas,
    • Full professor at BUPT, CCU or equivalence,
    • Familiar with corresponding schools/degree programs in China,
    • At least one year experience at an oversea university,
    • Administration experience and managerial skills,
    • Experience in English or bi-lingual classroom education,
    • Excellent English communication skills, and
    • Enthusiasms for international higher education.
    Qualifications for faulty members:
    • Doctor degree in related area,
    • Full professor, associate professor, lecturer at BUPT, CCU or equivalence,
    • Experience at an oversea university,
    • Experience in English or bi-lingual classroom education,
    • Excellent English communication skills, and
    • Enthusiasms for international higher education.
