The Special Scholarship Program is the KUT scholarship program designed for excellent graduate international applicants. Doctoral applicants who have an excellent academic record may apply for the Special Scholarship Program. Successful applicants are exempted from all the required student fees and will also receive up to 1,200,000 yen per year for working as Research Assistants and 200,000 yen for travel and initial living costs.

2. COURSES OF STUDY: Special Course for International Students

3. NUMBER OF STUDENTS TO BE ADMITTED: 20 students per year

4. ENROLLMENT TIME: April/October

5. SCHOLARSHIP TERM: One year
The term will be extended for increments of one year up to a total of three years, unless the university terminates the scholarship for any of the reasons stated below in the paragraph 15, Termination of Scholarship.

Note:
(1) The application deadline for April 2006 enrollment was extended a month.
(2) KUT accepts applications year-round, though there is an application deadline for each enrollment time.
